That Dam Ride is very proud to have been able to donate $200 to Granite Belt Support Services inc. in 2014, a very deserving cause, which helps local children with special needs. In 2015, with the support of the the Stanthorpe Lions Club, we were able to raise $1,500 which went straight back into the local community, in 2016 we were able to raise a staggering $2,800 and with a record number of riders in 2017, despite being the hottest February day on record (in the coldest place in Australia) That Dam Ride raised more than $2,500. A portion of this money assisted to purchase a defibrillator for Stanthorpe Parkrun, which is a great worldwide event which promotes being fit and active. The total That Dam Ride has given back to the local community in its four short years, is an amazing $7,000.00 in our three short years.
In 2018, we will continue our partnership with the Stanthorpe Lions Club, allowing the ride to be bigger and better than ever, and will continue raising much needed funds for local charities.
Of course, That Dam Ride would not be possible without the volunteers who have been putting in countless hours behind the scenes to make it possible. Everybody who has worked on That Dam Ride is a volunteer giving their time, money, expertise and resources to make the event happen and we cannot thank them enough for their help. These volunteers don't get paid a single cent for the countless hours of work they put in, allowing That Dam Ride to give the maximum amount of money to charity.
Alongside us, the following businesses have donated a considerable amount of time, money, goods, or services. That Dam Ride Organisers would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank them for their contribution, as the ride would not be a success without them. If you or your business is interested in helping out That Dam Ride in anyway, please don't hesitate to contact us via email.
